Research interests

Dr. Hou’s research focuses on the roles of lifestyle, environmental/occupational exposure, and
molecular factors in the etiology and prevention of cancer and other chronic diseases.
Dr. Hou has been conducting studies examining the relation of DNA methylation, genetic
variations, telomere shortening with the risk of prostate cancer, Non-Hodgkin's
Lymphoma (NHL), and gastrointestinal cancers.
