Intensive Nutrition in ARDS: A Clinical Trial (INTACT)

INTACT is a prospective, randomized clinical trial funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. This 5-year study will evaluate the impact of intensive medical nutrition therapy on short- and long-term outcomes and immunologic profiles of malnourished patients admitted to the intensive care unit with acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
