Hyeon Kim, PhD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Kim received his MD and PhD degrees from Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea, and is currently appointed as an Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine. He will be working here with Phillip Greenland and Kiang Liu, doing research in cardiovascular disease epidemiology.

Research Interests

Dr. Kim’s research interest has been significance of cardiovascular risk factors in a low risk population. he has been involved in several population-based cohort studies and nationwide surveys, including Korea Medical Insurance Corporation Study, Korea Genome Epidemiology Cohorts, National CVD Surveillance System, and Korean NHANES.

He welcomes anyone who is interested in cardiovascular diseases in Korea, or who wants to analyze cross-sectional and prospective data from Korean studies. He is also waiting for windsurfing at Michigan.
