Health and Biomedical Informatics

The Division of Health and Biomedical Informatics serves as center-of-mass of the various informatics—as a coordinator and catalyst for informatics activities across the centers and divisions. It also serves as the academic home for scientists whose primary focus is biomedical informatics.

What is Informatics?

Informatics is the study of information: how you collect it, how you organize it, and how you use it to solve problems.

Health and Biomedical Informatics is informatics applied to healthcare and biomedical research. For more information see About.

We are growing! The division is actively looking for excellent candidates to fill several new tenure track positions

The Northwestern Medicine Electronic Data Warehouse is the first academic EDW in the nation to achieve Meaningful Use Certification
