Cardiovascular Epidemiology Training

Epidemiology Faculty

The Division of Epidemiology consists of faculty members in the Department of Preventive Medicine who have training and research interests in cardiovascular, cancer, nutrition and genetic epidemiology and is home to several large-scale ongoing national and international collaborative studies sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) including the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI), Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults (CARDIA) Study, Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA), INTERMAP, Hyperglycemia and Adverse Pregnancy Outcome (HAPO) Study, the Dietary Intervention Study in Children (DISC) Follow-Up, Chicago Healthy Aging Study (CHAS), MESA Family Study, the Cardiovascular Lifetime Risk Pooling Project, and the Hispanic Community Health Study/ Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL).
